Media Access to Secure Facilities & Offices

Media representatives do not have an automatic right of access for visitation at DJJ secure facilities and/or community services offices.

Due to mandatory enforcement of safety protocols within all secure facilities and safeguards protecting young offenders against violations of their constitutional rights of privacy, limited media access is subject to pre-approval authorized solely at the discretion of the Commissioner.
