EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: District Director Bill Martin
The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice Community Services Division would like to acknowledge Southeast Regional District Director Bill Martin for his leadership and commitment to the District 11 team and the local communities served throughout the District.
Bill Martin makes it a priority to be available for his team when called upon, no matter the time of day or hour. He is determined to build a winning team with a strong work ethic and a positive work culture. Bill focuses on providing a vision for his team while creating processes to achieve their goals. Martin is mission-driven and results-focused in his daily practices.
I began working for DJJ immediately after graduating from Georgia Southern and have made this my life’s work. I believe in “giving back” and feel that our mission helps me make a difference in my community and our kids. I’m excited by the changes we’re experiencing in our culture here at DJJ and want to do my part to help our team grow and succeed. I like to live by the quote, “Be the kind of person you needed when you were younger.”
Martin has been employed with DJJ for 21-years and is responsible for 70 Community Services employees covering 18 counties in Southeast Georgia.
We thank Bill Martin for his dedication to public service and loyalty to DJJ.
