INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS

The Department of Juvenile Justice is looking for interns who want valuable experience, professional connections, and unique opportunities working with young offenders. An intern is defined as a college student seeking practical experience while earning academic credit. Most DJJ internships require interns to work during regular hours scheduled 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional weekend hours may be available depending on the volunteer group at DJJ. Most DJJ internships offer academic credit without compensation.

  • The number of hours you must complete
  • The timeframe that you have to complete these hours
  • The hours you are willing to conduct weekly for the internship
  • The location where you would like to volunteer
