Fueling Nutritious Change

At Georgia DJJ, nutrition is essential to the development of our young people. By collaborating to provide healthy meals, we offer them the nourishment they need to grow, change, and succeed, while also demonstrating that someone cares enough to provide meals they will enjoy.

Providing a nutritious meal may seem like a small gesture, but it shows respect and can lead to meaningful connections. Trust can foster a young person's belief that transformation is possible.

Every day, the Georgia DJJ Chaplains provide hope and a sense of belonging, while our Counselors offer crucial support and interventions. This partnership addresses both the emotional and spiritual needs of our youth, which are essential for their healing.

The teamwork demonstrated in sharing information among themselves to identify youth who need additional support showcases what we can achieve when we collaborate effectively and purposefully.
