Volunteer at DJJ Today

The Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking volunteers to take on the challenge of working with young offenders in our facilities and communities. DJJ is actively recruiting stakeholders in the community to rehabilitate young offenders and help them become productive and law-abiding citizens. If you are 18 years or older, you are eligible to take on the challenge. By dedicating at least an hour of your time, you can take on the challenge:

  • Fill out an application.
  • Successfully pass a Background and Fingerprint Check.
  • Complete Volunteer Orientation and Training

Minimum Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Complete a Volunteer/Intern Application
  • U.S. Citizen or Legal U.S. Resident
  • Valid Social Security Number
  • Valid Drivers License, State Issued ID, or Passport
  • Pass Background Investigation
  • Complete Volunteer Orientation and Training
