The department of curriculum and instruction is committed to providing students and teachers instructional strategies and resources vital for success in grades 6-12.
The curriculum ensures all students have access to core content at their instructional level from teacher-to-teacher, and school-t0-school.
GPA maintains and revises the 6-12 curriculum and ensures alignment with Georgia Standards of Excellence in the following areas:
- ELA
- Math
- Science
- Social Studies
- Physical Education
- *Core Electives
GPA provides direct support to professional learning communities and schools to facilitate effective implementation of Georgia Preparatory Academy’s framework for effective standards-based classrooms.
GPA supports the design and delivery of professional learning to ensure the curriculum and research-based instructional strategies are implemented with fidelity and efficacy.
GPA supports development of blended learning environments through:
- Instructional Technology
- Media Services
- Virtual Learning
Maintaining strong partnerships with all central offices and departments, learning communities, and schools to ensure consistent delivery of the curriculum and instructional programs.
