Curriculum & Instruction

The department of curriculum and instruction is committed to providing students and teachers the instructional strategies and resources vital for success in grades 6-12.

The curriculum is to ensure that all students have access to the same core of significant content at a specific instructional level, from teacher to teacher, and school to school by ensuring the following:

Maintaining and revising the 6-12 curriculum to ensure alignment with Georgia Standards of Excellence in the following areas:

  • ELA
  • Math
  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • Physical Education
  • *Core Electives

Providing direct support to learning communities and schools to facilitate effective implementation of Georgia Preparatory Academy’s framework for effective standards-based classrooms.

Supporting the design and delivery of professional learning that ensures fidelity of curriculum and research-based instructional strategies implementation across all schools.

Supporting for the development of blended learning environments through:

  • Instructional Technology
  • Media Services
  • Virtual Learning

Maintaining strong partnerships with all central offices and departments, learning communities, and schools to ensure consistent delivery of the curriculum and instructional programs.
