Mr. Adam J. Kennedy is the Executive Director of the Economic Development Authority of Claxton and Evans County. He has been dedicated to the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (Georgia DJJ) for over 27 years. Previously, he served as a Regional Administrator, overseeing 44 counties in the Southeast Region of the state, where he was responsible for the department's community and regional detention programs. Mr. Kennedy has been recognized twice for his leadership as a former District Director, receiving the Vanguard Award and the prestigious Harold K. Ables Award for his outstanding service in the field of juvenile justice. A native of Evans County, he is also a former Chairman of the Evans County Board of Education. Mr. Kennedy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Mercer University with a minor in Criminal Justice.
