Tyrone Oliver is a long-time resident of Newton County, Georgia and was appointed to the position of DJJ Commissioner by Governor Brian P. Kemp on July 25, 2019.

DJJ Holds Anniversary Celebration for Valdosta Youth Center

 The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) held a first-anniversary celebration for the Southwest Key's Evening Reporting Center on Monday, November 8. The center in Valdosta, Ga., is an evidence-based program designed to provide structure and supervision to juvenile justice system-involved youth at risk of recidivating.

DJJ TO HOLD JOB FAIR IN AUGUSTA

Decatur, GA - The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) will hold a Job Fair in Augusta, Georgia, on Wednesday, October 27, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  DJJ is currently looking to hire Juvenile Correctional Officers (JCO), Housekeepers, and Food Service Workers for the Augusta Youth Development Campus and Regional Youth Development Campus.

DJJ HOLDS JUVENILE CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS GRADUATION CEREMONY

Decatur, GA – The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) hosted a graduation ceremony for 39 newly-trained Juvenile Correctional Officer (JCO) cadets on Friday, October 22nd, at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, Ga. The cadets have now joined the ranks of other JCOs at state-run secure facilities throughout Georgia.
